Chicken's Arrive at Trish's FDC

The children in care at Trish’s place are so fortunate to have different types of animals to take care of and learn about the natural world.

This week saw the arrival of some beautiful baby chicks of different colours.

Their new home allows the children to feed them daily and watch the through the coop.

They are all different colours and personalities and the children have given them a names.

The children are learning what the chicks eat and drink, how soft their feathers are and how to be gentle. Occasionally they are visited by peacocks that live in bushland nearby.
